Academy of Learning’s Community Service Worker with Addictions Worker Specialty diploma program prepares you to support individuals facing substance use, mental health and social challenges. Over 40 weeks, you’ll build skills in counselling approaches, case management and communication, along with a solid grounding in addictions, recovery and mental health — all applied through a hands-on field placement in a real community setting.
Graduates move into roles at community agencies, treatment centres, residential programs and outreach services, working one-on-one with individuals, supporting recovery plans and connecting people with housing, counselling and community resources.
